YOUR INFORMATION
What is public—and what stays in your profile
Understand public mattress guides, device saves, optional private fit history and account-owned consultations.
Public pages describe the service, not a person
Somni’s search-visible pages contain general fitting explanations and reviewed public product facts. They do not contain guest measurements, pain disclosures, saved results, contact information or conversations. Public product descriptions are not personal fit reports.
The public sitemap is built from an editorial registry of approved pages. It is not generated from customer records, retailer accounts or session links.
Choose how you continue
Click answers in the account-free quiz stay in the browser unless you explicitly choose Optional private fit history or another disclosed server feature. Optional private history keeps encrypted inputs and estimated recommendations for up to 30 days, accessed through an HttpOnly ownership cookie in the original browser. New edits require a new saved version. Delete private server history removes those versions; removing a device profile is a separate action. Manufacturer or group permissions do not automatically reveal retailer customers. Choosing live voice also creates an encrypted temporary quiz draft on Somni’s server to keep spoken and clicked answers in sync. This voice draft expires after 24 hours; expired rows are removed in batches when new voice sessions start. Someone else using that browser may be able to open a recent local profile. Use “Remove this saved profile” when you no longer want it on a shared device. Quiz drafts expire after 24 hours without a new save; device profiles and retailer application drafts expire after 30 days without a new save. Expired device records are removed when Somni next opens or reads them. Older device records receive a retention clock when first opened after this update.
A saved consultation uses sign-in and ownership checks. If you choose to move local answers into a consultation, those answers are no longer only a local quiz copy. Live text or voice features require the separate steps shown in the app; enabled providers process the information sent to them.
Optional campaign and product analytics
Optional analytics stay off quietly until you open Privacy choices and opt in to the adult-only measurement feature. There is no entry popup or age confirmation just to browse or use the click quiz. They use a first-party, host-only cookie for up to 30 days to measure registered campaigns, quiz milestones, product interest and a general three-digit ZIP area if you supply a ZIP. Full URLs, raw referrers, advertising click IDs, names, contacts, body measurements, pain details and conversations are not stored in measurement records. Optional measurement uses no advertising pixels, session replay or fingerprinting. Analytics use a separate pseudonymous browser identifier. Private fit history is separate from browsing analytics. Shopping events and referral records do not link to a private fit snapshot. Names, raw answers and account identifiers are not copied into events or outbound retailer URLs; retailers cannot open the private version.
Privacy choices lets you decline without losing access to the quiz, or turn analytics off and erase this browser’s measurement history. GPC and Do Not Track signals disable optional measurement. Choices and identifiers are separate on somni.fit and get.somni.fit; we do not pass a person’s identifier between domains. Raw measurement records expire after 30 days and are removed in batches as the service is used; expired records are excluded immediately. Infrastructure providers still process request metadata and may set essential security cookies to deliver and protect the service. The current host sets Cloudflare’s __cf_bm bot-management cookie separately from Somni’s optional measurement cookie; declining analytics does not disable that security protection.
Retailers receive grouped reports for their own campaigns and validated catalog products. Counts are rounded down to five; cells below ten distinct opted-in browsers are withheld. Reports do not expose individual browsing histories, five-digit ZIPs or private sleep answers. Product clicks are not confirmed leads or sales. Store-recorded outcomes are shown separately without joining them to browsing. Online profiles are not automatically disclosed to retailers. Any future identified introduction must have a separate recipient-specific preview, consent and revocation process.
Shopping buttons identify the retailer and pass through Somni’s validated outbound service. A redirect records a consented navigation attempt, not a guaranteed destination load, unique person, qualified lead or purchase. External mattress links may contain static Somni referral UTM labels. Direct referrals do not forward a click reference or establish purchase reporting. A future documented affiliate connector may transmit a random per-click reference, never a private profile ID. Copied retailer URLs may retain a reference; their reuse is not a newly observed Somni click. These labels identify Somni as the referring service, not the shopper, even when optional analytics is declined. Do not put personal information in campaign links. This notice does not replace a formal privacy assessment or the individual rights process applicable to your jurisdiction.
Voice is a separate choice
Choosing Talk with Somni starts an AI-generated, two-way voice conversation through OpenAI Realtime after microphone permission. OpenAI processes the microphone audio and conversation context; its processing and retention rules apply. Somni does not store raw audio or conversation captions. The input meter shows local microphone activity, while a separate speech-detected indicator confirms speech reached Somni. You can interrupt, mute, end voice or switch to clicks. A microphone check uses only a local input meter and sends no audio.
Clear spoken answers can fill the quiz automatically. Captions and the changing form let you check what was heard. Conversation captions show what was heard and said. The application validates proposed fields before adding answers; ambiguous numbers and units need clarification. You can edit answers and review them before completing your profile. Browser compatibility and permission settings can limit voice access.
Review an AI handoff before use
A pasted summary or connected AI handoff proposes answers. You review what is explicit, inferred or unknown and decide which fields to include. Importing answers does not itself send a retailer introduction or subscribe you to messages.
Authenticated continuation links use an opaque reference rather than answers in a URL. A reference alone does not grant account access. Do not paste personal summaries into a public website URL, a public review or an ordinary search query.
Search controls are an additional layer
Personal application pages carry noindex controls and are excluded from the sitemap. Saved server data also requires authorization. A robots.txt rule does not keep information private.
The formal Privacy Policy at /privacy and separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy at /health-data-privacy explain the current practices, contacts and rights process. This guide explains the current product boundaries. It is not a promise that every future retailer connection is active or that an independent provider has identical retention practices. Review the permission request before sending information to a store or provider.
